What you expect when playing game ? i want great art of the character, detail character, great landscape, when i scroll mouse up and down i can view character life as realistic as i expected. I want sophisticated audio, i want more detail but not too many complicated when playing and knowing each feature of the character. Dawn of War, it seem bit odd for the title but it is not just the title, it is very very top notch of the game, it’s the edge and the future of strategic of gaming.

I just notice this game when bought magazine, there is cd-rom demo of the game, searching old cd from archieve, i just try it and the title is Dark Crusade Warhammer 40000, and it’s strategy of gaming, i love strategy gaming, it can make you like the owner of the hero and squad and command it, built infrastructure, etc. Yeah, Dark Crusade then make me want to play it hour and hour. The first time playing this game, my graphic card cannot set to high profile of graphic, but that’s not a problem, relic the game developer which has been develop Dark Crusade game, already create tool to detect graphic card engine which can play this game or not, if not, there is default to minimum graphic level. Yes, it can play on intel graphics.

Since then the game evolve into Dawn of War, Soulstorm. Now, the game has been mark into great great massive change. Dawn Of War II, yes many improvement of graphic detail, and the engine itself. Well, you need to change your graphic card also. I just test on Intel Graphic on D945GGCLF cannot work, so i just searching the graphic that well suited to play this game. I choose Laptop MSI EX400 with ATI Graphic Radeon HD3450, sure this is low end graphic, but that not make me surrender to test it.

What you need next is download the demo first, where should i search the demo of Dawn of War II, don’t worry the better approach is using Steam application. Steam is the application which dedicated to play and connected to steampowered.com which provide most famous game. Don’t worry for current release of the demo, there should be bug fixed, because when i download the demo and try to run the first time i just got BugSplat from Dawn Of War II, So what you need is send this bug to Relic and let the engineer of relic to fix the bug, then wait for another moment to download the update from steam. The game will run very nice on your computer after the update.

The mission of Dawn of War II is not like previous version, there are always mission to defeat the leader of enemy, there are no construction to build headquarter, you just deploy to defeat the enemy in each mission. And you will gain squad level in each mission. This game relay on Microsoft Games Live and Steam, if you don’t want to put your achievement while playing this game, you can set as offline, and you still can play the game campaign.  If you found your game crash, just send the bugSplat of the game, it will help a alot the engineer at relic to fix it.

The first time you play the game, the campaign will direct you to help captain davian thule, he need reinforcement from you. You became the leader of your squad, you became the commander. This game will guide you from the simple mission to the tough mission, and you don’t need to cheat, you just need use your weapon and manage your squad to defeat the enemy. Gaining health while you in attacking by enemy is to close to strategic point and capture it. When your squad in critical point to lower health, just use retreat button for each squad to return to the nearest strategic point to regain the health.

Each mission only allow to capture one shrine and deploy the power, to capture another shrine you need to redeploy again in the next mission, well, you can capture all shrine in each mission by using exit game to windows or main menu and redeploy again to the same mission, it will notice, the shrine you has been capture in the mission before you end the mission in the middle already captured. Well done brothers, continue the extraction and defeat the tyranid, eldar or orks or vice versa, the next complete chapter you can read from my next article. There are so many mission that you can digg from this game, before you try it you will never know how the game work and if you lucky steam offering discount to cut the price of this game, so you better check more often from steam application or from their steam website. I cannot wait space marine will have their own campaign to fight the ork on the new title “Space Marine”, but it will be release for the first time for Microsoft XBox. Well, we better hope the game will release not too far for the Microsoft windows too.
